After your treatment
General aftercare. The instructions you are given at the clinic, for your own mouth, come first.
- Your bite may feel slightly different for a day or two while you get used to the new edges. Tell us if it still feels high after that.
- Brush twice a day and clean between the teeth as usual. Veneers need the same care as natural teeth.
- Avoid biting directly into very hard things - ice, bones, pen caps - with your front teeth.
- If you grind or clench your teeth at night, ask about a night guard to protect the veneers.
- Keep your routine check-ups, so the edges and the gums around them are looked at regularly.

How long does a smile makeover with veneers take?
Most cases are completed in two to three sittings across one to two weeks, depending on how many teeth are being treated and the laboratory schedule.
Will my teeth be filed down?
Only where it is necessary. We offer minimal-preparation options that conserve natural enamel wherever the case allows, and we tell you which applies before you agree to anything.
Can I see the result before committing?
Yes. That is the point of the digital preview and the trial smile — you approve the look on screen, then wear a mock-up, before any tooth is prepared.
How long do veneers last?
Porcelain veneers commonly last ten years or more with good care, and many last considerably longer. What shortens their life is much the same as for natural teeth: grinding, biting hard objects, gum disease and decay at the edges.
What affects the cost of veneers?
Mainly the number of teeth, the material - porcelain or composite - and how much preparation and planning your smile needs. The cost for your own plan is given after the consultation, before anything is prepared.
